My budget predictions. Adults Only

Well this time last year Gordon Brown was in charge of the budget. Do you remember? He cut income tax by 2%. He also scrapped the base rate of 10% which means that anyone earning less than £18,000 now pays more tax and anyone earning more pays less. Another kick in the nuts for the poor from New Labour.

So what can the poor expect this time? How much more of our money will Labour want to buy votes and keep us where they want us, dirt poor? What will Mr Darling do to us this time?

Well for a start your fags will go up. Of course this will be because of health reasons. Or so he will claim. In fact everytime cigarettes go up all that happens is even more people buy cheap imports from abroad, many of them pirates from eastern Europe, which cause even bigger health problems. And who buys these cheap fags? Mainly the poor, who can no longer afford the real thing.

And alcohol will go up as well. But he wont stick £10 a bottle on Champagne. No he will put the price of a pint up, and a glass of wine. Because if he stops the poor from being able to afford a drink then drunkeness will go down. Or so he will claim, totally ignoring the fact that the poor can't afford to drink very much anyway.

Then fuel will go up as well, the excuse being that they want us to all use buses and save the environment. And leave more room on the roads for their chauffer driven Limousines. Once again this most affects the poor. Not only because we have to pay more for our petrol but also because dearer fuel puts the price of everything else up.

I predict it will be a typical New Taves party budget. One where the rich get richer and the poor got poorer. If you are a Labour voter you should hang your head in shame.
