What happened to the discrimination laws?

Correct me if I am wrong but I was under the impression that we had laws in this country making discrimination illegal. Do they still exist? If you are English, white, male or single, then you can be forgiven for thinking that they don't.

The English are discriminated against on a regular basis. We don't have our own parliament, we are denied access to drugs that other British citizens get, we have to pay for prescriptions that are free elsewhere in the UK etc etc.

To meet ethnic quota's whites are barred from applying for certain jobs and have to meet far stricter selection criteria than non whites. Again, blatant discrimination.

Men are also discriminated against on a daily basis. Every news paper has a womans section at least once a week. When did you last see a mens section? This week, in the budget, money was set aside to help woman in business. Why? If they can't get by on their own merits why should they be given funds denied to men?

And being single is just as bad. You pay more taxes, more for holidays, are expected to not only subsidise other peoples children but also have to fund the efforts to control the little brats. Single people are always last in line for council houses and if you are a single male with a female doctor you will never get to see her because women and children will be given priority.

If we are going to have anti discrimination laws then they should apply to everybody and it should be illegal to discriminate against anybody for any reason. Because if it isn't then there laws themselves are discriminatary and have no place in our society.
