Last week, in the budget, Alistair Darling put the cost of road tax up again. As usual the excuse was protecting the environment. And, as usual from a New Labour minister, he was lying.
Road tax on a fuel efficient Nissan Micra will increase by 20%. Road tax on a gas guzzling Hummer will only rise by 14%. How does increasing the cost of running a fuel efficient car help the environment?
These tax rises were nothing more than a money making exercise to help the New Taxes party try and pay back some of the debts it has incurred whilst ruining our once great country.
If you voted Labour you should be ashamed of yourself.

Hi Pete,
Many years ago when I lived in Liverpool I supported Labour a bit,Militant Tendancy etc,everything that was for the working man.
In 1997 the working man,after 18 years of Tory rule,gets a Labour government.And is kicked in the 'nads from day one.
Should we ask Maggie to come back part-time,cash in hand plus benefits?
